Dear EDS Golfers,
Dear EDS Golfers,
Hello Falcons Family. Mark your calendars for May 13th from 9 until 12. The Pop Warner Garden City Falcons, along with Episcopal Day School, will be hosting a football skills and conditioning camp for all kids ages 5 through 14. It will be held at the Episcopal Day School main campus, located at 2248 Walton Way, Augusta, 30904. This is NOT our practice field…so don’t get confused. This camp is open to anyone, regardless of whether you have played Pop Warner before or not. Spread the word and invite your friends. The camp will be free, and there will be coaches and Board members available to answer any and all questions anyone might have about football, cheer and Pop Warner. We will be accepting registrations that day as well. Please don’t wait until the last minute to register.
Also, we will be accepting registration paperwork if you have it filled out and ready to go. Get ahead of the game and bring it all in. You can find all necessary paperwork and documents on our registration page.
To register online, go to augustapopwarner.org. Also make sure to follow us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/GardenCityFalcons/ for updates. We will have more camp dates soon. We also plan to start optional conditioning work this summer for kids that want to get in shape before the season starts.
**If you are coming to the camp, please wear shorts and a t-shirt. Also, the kids will be working in the gym and on a turf field, so bring tennis shoes for the gym. Cleats or tennis shoes are fine for the field. And don’t forget a water bottle. No helmets or shoulder pads needed; this will be a non-contact camp only**
See you there!!
Dear Rising EDS 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade parents,
Trav W., 5th grade EDS student, has been selected as a 2016-2017 Pop Warner All-American Scholar. Trav ranks academically in the top 2% of approximately 350,000 children that take part in Pop Warner football programs nationwide! Trav will be recognized at a ceremony to be held in Philadelphia on May 26th.
EDS Lower School Running Club (aka Team Lightning) ran the Three Bridges 5K this weekend! This race is extra special to our community as it supports Church of the Good Shepherd youth ministries. EDS runner, Christian K. placed 6th in his division and 32nd out of 669 people overall with a time of 22:52. All of our runners finished the race strong!
The 3 Bridges 5K, presented by Jordan Trotter, is a gorgeous run on the Augusta Canal National Heritage Area’s new River Levee Trail. This scenic course is paved out-and-back, crossing three bridges along the Savannah River and canal, with start/finish at the brand-new Lake Olmstead Trailhead.
Saturday, March 4 – 9am
Run or walk in Augusta’s most scenic race.
The race benefits the Augusta Canal National Heritage Area trails and the Church of the Good Shepherd Youth Outreach Programs. Money raised help fund the Pilgrims pilgrimage to Spain in June 2017.
Hey Panther Nation – it’s tournament time!
