2B student, Layla W., won an essay contest for writing about Honesty, one of The First Tee Nine Core Values.
Honesty is when you are kind and loving. You should be honest with your score and is being kind to others. Playing by the rules and love your first tee coaches and be kind to the course. You should be honest about your score because you don’t want to cheat. Because people want to do better than other people. You should be kind to others or you can hurt their feelings and you can get in trouble. You should follow rules, or you can hurt someone. You should love your coaches because they need love like your coaches because they need love like your mom and dad and your whole family. You should be kind to the course because if your ball falls in the bunker you need to rake it.
